Spring is here and this seems to mark a shift in energy with more sunshine motivating us to get growing. Daylight saving also offers us the opportunity to visit the garden in the early evening and enjoy the glorious birdsong around the wetlands.

This workshop will provide great information for all gardeners from beginners to the more experienced. Growing in pots, styrofoam containers or raised beds? You can become a more successful container gardener.
In this practical session we will focus on vegetable and fruit growing and include creative container options, improving the soil, raised beds and organic gardening basics. Even if you have limited space or are renting you can still have a productive, colourful and sustainable garden.
Alan Shepard has had many years of practical experience in establishing community, school and organic gardens across Adelaide and coordinating primary school garden programs. He has been involved in and consulted on bio-diversity and revegetation projects across Adelaide.
Seaford Wetlands Community Garden AGM
An important (and legal) requirement of being a not-for-profit association is that SWCG must hold an annual AGM and our next one is coming up on Thursday 14th November, 7pm at the Seaford Community Center.
With a current committee of six people we would welcome members who would like to join the committee. There will be no pressure to take up a committee role. This is an opportunity to learn more about developments and plans for the garden and to meet other members.
Please join us as we require a minimum of 10 members to have a valid meeting.
